About Military Spouse Pathway to Business
The Military Spouse Pathway to Business course provides step-by-step
guidance on how to start or expand a business. This course is part of the
Boots to Business series of courses offered by the U.S. Small Business
Administration (SBA). The course is designed to educate active-duty
and veteran military spouses and family members/caregivers on the
fundamentals of entrepreneurship. From evaluating feasibility to finding
startup or growth capital to understanding legal considerations and
tax implications, the Military Spouse Pathway to Business course opens
doors to becoming your own boss.
Course participants receive ongoing support, such as connecting with a
SCORE mentor, gaining advice at a Veterans Business Outreach Center,
becoming certified to do business with the federal government, and
more. SBA courses and programs are offered at no cost to active-duty
service members, National Guard and Reserve members, veterans,
active-duty and veteran military spouses, and family members/
caregivers.
